Deepika Padukone confirmed for Vin Diesel’s xXx 4, script being scheduled, says director

Deepika Padukone will reprise her role as Serena Unger in Vin Diesel’s xXx 4.

Deepika Padukone will definitely be a part of xXx 4, which will see Vin Diesel return as Xander Cage. The film’s director, DJ Caruso, announced that Chinese singer Roy Wang has come onboard The Return of Xander Cage sequel. Caruso took to Twitter, welcoming him to the family. Indian fans were quick to ask if Deepika will be seen in the sequel too.

“What about @deepikapadukone, will she be the part of the film?,” a fan asked. “Yes”, replied Caruso, adding that the “script is being scheduled”. The film is set to go on floors in January 2019.

Earlier, Caruso had revealed he is planning to shoot a Bollywood style dance number with Deepika Padukone for the next installment of the franchise. “I want to end ‘xXx 4’ with a Bollywood dance song. Led of course by @deepikapadukone. Lungi Dance? Something new?” Caruso had tweeted.

the third xXx movie - the second in the action-adventure series to star Vin Diesel as extreme sports enthusiast-turned-spy Xander Cage - had grossed over $300 million worldwide. The filmhad Deepika Padukone as the film’s lead, Serena Unger.

Since the release of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, Deepika has gone on to star in the Rs 585 crore hit, Padmaavat. The upcoming film will mark Deepika’s second Hollywood project.
