Delhiites take out time to talk and bond with each other: Renee Dhyani

Renee Dhyani talks about her love for Delhi but says Mumbai is far more safe for women.

Born and raised in Delhi, television actor, Renee Dhyani was in the Capital recently, to visit her family. She proclaimed her love for the city when we caught up with her. She says the time spent in the city has made her rough and tough. “No other city can compete with Delhi, when it comes to the city’s food, people, or hangout spots. And unlike Mumbai, there is a lot of love and care here. Delhiites take out time to talk and bond with each other,” says Dhyani.

TV actor Renee Dhyani says no other city can compete with Delhi.

The Delhi girl, who currently features in a daily soap, had taken a break from her job in 2013. She explains, “I went into depression after a break up and needed time to cope with it. So I quit everything, came out of depression and started working again in the corporate sector. However, my father motivated me to join television industry as I was getting too many offers and I went to Mumbai in 2013.”

Dhyani believes that you have to wear a mask in Mumbai and pretend to be always happy and cheerful. “Mumbai is a different world altogether. I have moulded myself according to the city, which is important to survive in the industry. I am very upfront but I change accordingly,” says the actor.

Although Dhyani loves Delhi but she feels that the city is unsafe for women. She says, “I have experienced it myself. Having lived in Mumbai, I can say that the Capital of India is not safe.”
