“Dhanush doesn’t follow any particular formula to act. He allows himself to sink in to the skin of the character and perform. He’s an effortless actor,” says Mahendran, adding: “From a Tamil actor, Dhanush’s transformation to a Banarasi in the film, is incredible. He has given an exceptional performance.”
