Around Dussehra, Vidya Balan had to be hospitalised at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra for a few days due to exertion. Besides her hemoglobin levels dropping, Vidya also lost her appetite. But the actor is back on the sets to shoot for The Dirty Picture.

“Yes, Vidya started shooting again about two to three days ago. After being hospitalised, she was taking rest. Even we didn’t want Vidya to start work without feeling better. For us, our actor’s health is of paramount importance,” confirms Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, the producers of The Dirty Picture.

But makers are taking no chances with Vidya’s health. “We have instructed the production unit to make sure that a doctor is on the sets. Even when Vidya does the multi-city promotional tour (mid-November onwards), we will make sure that a doctor from the particular city is on call,” adds Tanuj.

However, Tanuj calls it “a precautionary step”. He says, “There’s nothing to worry about. Since Vidya is a wonderful and co-operative actor, our shooting is on track. In a few days, the shooting part should be over.”
