Though the makers are tight-lipped about any development on the content or the cast of the sequel, but sources say that they have retained the lead pair, as their chemistry looked fresh on screen.

“After the delightful Tanu Weds Manu, we are looking forward to partner with Aanand Rai for Season 2. We are confident the sequel will be equally memorable and as entertaining as its predecessor,” says producer Sunil Lulla. Aanand L Rai confirmed the news and adds, “I am confident that we will make some very entertaining cinema.”

A source from the film unit says, “Things are still to be finalised but after the success of the film, both the makers and the actors thought that the double role angle would be interesting.”
