Ekta Kapoor didn’t want Konkana Sen in Ek Thi Daayan
Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and producer Ekta Kapoor apparently clashed over the casting of Konkana Sen Sharma in their joint production, Ek Thi Daayan. Vishal wanted to get Konkana on board, but Ekta was against it and she relented only after a long discussion.

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and producer Ekta Kapoor apparently clashed over the casting of Konkana Sen Sharma in their joint production, Ek Thi Daayan.
Vishal wanted to get Konkana on board, but Ekta was against it. But Vishal persisted and she relented after a long discussion.
Ekta says, “I did protest. I thought she would be arty, but when I saw the rushes, I admitted my folly to Vishal and promptly called her. I am a fan now. She is spectacular.”
