Emraan Hashmi’s mother dies of cancer

Emraan’s mother, Maherah, was the sister-in-law of Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt.

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s mother Maherah Hashmi died on Friday at the Hinduja hospital in Mumbai.

“She was suffering from cancer,” director-producer Mukesh Bhatt told PTI.

Maherah was the sister-in-law of Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt.

“Emraan boarded a flight from Romania this morning. He is on flight right now and doesn’t know the sad news yet. He should be here by 2 am,” Bhatt said.

The last rites will be performed on Sunday.

Emraan was in Romania to shoot for Raaz 4. He will be seen with Kriti Kharbanda in the latest installment of the horror series.

Apart from Raaz 4, Emraan is also working on Mohd Azharuddin biopic, Azhar.
