Farhan Akhtar’s 60th concert: When mom-dad attended his gig for the first time

Farhan Akhtar’s parents – Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani - attended his 60th music concert.

In the past three years, Farhan Akhtar has performed in several cities with his band. But last week, when he stepped on the stage for his 60th concert, the experience was even more special for him. For the first time, his parents — Honey Irani and Javed Akhtar — attended his show.

Farhan Akhtar was excited about the concert, as it was the first time that his parents saw him perform live on stage.

“Farhan was excited about the concert, as it was the first time that his parents saw him perform live on stage. What made him happier is the fact that they appreciated his act. Both his parents were sitting in the front row,” says an insider.

Apparently, later, Farhan’s parents also told him that “they enjoyed” his act thoroughly, and “were proud of him”. In fact, Farhan jokingly told them that they should attend all his concerts from now on.

Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani attended Farhan’s music show and cheered for him.

At the show, Farhan performed to almost all his hit songs from films such as Rock On!! (2008), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), among others.

While the Bollywood actor-filmmaker couldn’t be reached for a comment, his spokesperson confirmed the news, and said, “Farhan was really happy to have both Javed sir and Honey Irani ma’am sit through his concert for the first time. They kept cheering for him.”
