Fatima Sana Shaikh joins Aamir Khan for Thugs of Hindostan

Aamir Khan’s Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh has now joined his upcoming film with Amitabh Bachchan, Thugs of Hindostan.

Earlier last month, we shared the audition pictures of Dangal star Fatima Sana Shaikh, and now, we can confirm that she has been finalised for Aamir Khan’s upcoming Yash Raj Films, Thugs of Hindostan. Writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya will be directing the film that also stars Amitabh Bachchan.

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who played Aamir Khan’s daughter in Dangal, has an action-filled role in Thugs of Hindostan.

This is the second time Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) will be directing Aamir Khan after the blockbuster Dhoom 3. Thugs of Hindostan will bring Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan together on screen for the first time.

Speaking about finalising Fatima for his film, Vijay said in a press statement, “The role of the girl is pivotal to the film. So it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film.”

Thugs of Hindostan begins shooting on June 1.
