Super 30 first look: Hrithik Roshan is convincing as Bihar’s Anand Kumar

Hrithik Roshan plays mathematician Anand Kumar from Bihar, who trains 30 deserving and economically backward students for the most prestigious exams of IIT each year with a commendable success rate.

Phantom Films on Tuesday shared the first look of the upcoming biopic of Bihar’s maths genius, Anand Kumar, played by Hrithik Roshan. Calling it ‘the first page in Benaras’, the handle tweeted: “From the first page in Benares! @ihrithik as Anand Kumar! #Super30 @Super30Film @RelianceEnt @NGEMovies @anandteacher.”

The picture shows a bearded Hrithik Roshan, looking down at something (we don’t really see what) and smiling. With his tousled hair and a soft glow around him, Hrithik’s Anand Kumar is certainly a handsome fellow.

Helmed by Vikas Bahl, the biopic will showcase the life of Patna-based mathematician, Anand Kumar, who trains 30 deserving, economically backward students for the most prestigious exams of IIT each year with a commendable success rate.

Hrithik commenced shooting for the film on the auspicious day of Saraswati puja and tweeted: “On the auspicious day of Saraswati Puja and Basant Panchami, I am beginning my journey of Super 30 where I am playing a teacher for the first time. May the Goddess of learning bless this effort.”
