Sonam Kapoor who has long been considered a style icon, recently announced that she would be launching her own fashion line. The actor has started sketching several designs and is almost ready with the first few garments.
Sonam Kapoor who has long been considered a style icon, recently announced that she would be launching her own fashion line. The actor has started sketching several designs and is almost ready with the first few garments.
But before it hits the market, Sonam has decided to gift the first dress she has designed to her mother, Sunita Kapoor. “She always thought it would be best to start from home, so she took a lot of time to design her first dress, which she could gift to her mother before catering to customers,” says a source close to the actor. We’ve also learnt that Sonam prefers designing western outfits rather than traditional ones. The source explains, “She is personally more comfortable in western clothes. The outfit she is designing for Sunita has a kurta paired with loose pants.”
Sonam remained unavailable for comment, however, her spokesperson confirmed the development and said, “It’s a new start for her and she is excited to gift her first designed clothes to her mother.”
