An industry insider reveals, “When Mehra was conducting auditions for a role in Austrailia, he met Rebecca and she instantly caught his eye. He knew she was perfect for the role of an Australian athlete (who is also a coach’s daughter) and he didn’t audition anyone else for the part.”
And Rebecca has got her Hollywood break thanks to her performance in BMB. The insider says, “After people from the Hollywood production saw her in it, she was taken on board. Mehra is very happy that her journey to celluloid has been through India and in an iconic biopic like this.”
Ask the director about this and he says, “Rebecca is a wonderful actor and a household name in Australia. She suits the character in BMB perfectly, and has just signed her first Hollywood film.”
