“I am always over critical of my work. I can’t bear to see myself on screen. I always see mistakes. They aren’t really mistakes. It’s just that you would have done those things differently,” he says, adding, “There is no right or wrong in acting, it’s very subjective. But I feel there’s always scope to do better.”
So, Ranveer has come up with a simple fix which helps him focus on his performance. “I’ve recently cultivated the habit of not going and checking myself on the monitor on the sets. Even in Bajirao, I didn’t see anything. I would go very sparingly to the monitor. I would just concentrate on my performance. I never saw how my performance looked,” says the 30-year-old.
Meanwhile, Ranveer, who is rumoured to be dating actor Deepika Padukone, says he doesn’t believe in hiding his personal life. “The only thing that matters to me is honesty. I speak from my heart when I am asked about Deepika. That is the kind of person I am. I am frank about my feelings and opinions,” he says.
