I don’t understand why wearing a bikini is a big deal: Neha Dhupia

Actor Neha Dhupia is over a decade old in Bollywood but she still doesn’t understand people’s fixation over actors wearing bikini.

She has been unapologetically sexy in many of her films but actor Neha Dhupia is still trying to understand why an actor gets so much of attention when she dons a bikini in a film.

Actor Neha Dhupia does not feel the need to explain herself to anyone, every time she dons a bikini.

“There is a lot of fixation on actresses wearing a bikini for a scene but I don’t understand why. I have worn a bikini more than a couple of times on the screen and I don’t feel the need to explain myself. If I am doing a shot in the pool and I am wearing anything more than a bikini, I will end up looking like a fool. Just so that I don’t look like an idiot, I wear a bikini,” says Dhupia, who will soon be seen in a film alongside Boman Irani and Vir Das.

She has been through many ups and downs in her career. But does she have any regrets in her 12-year-long career? “I am not someone who lives with any regrets. I feel there is a time and place for everything so I don’t want to undo anything. Everything is a cause and consequence of something that I have done,” she says.

Dhupia, who has been part of films such as, Julie(2004) , Kyaa Kool Hai Hum(2005), Dus Kahaaniyan(2007) and Singh Is Kinng(2008), recently turned to television as a judge of an adventure reality show.

And though she loves every bit of her stay on television, the actor is not willing to widen her horizon on small screen.“I know that this show which I am doing is reality and it’s different from fiction. I don’t want to over expose myself on television but if I have that kind of space, I might take one other thing up but it is not going to be fiction. I can’t do more than that,” says the actor.
