I hope I don’t let anyone down with Student of the Year 2: Tiger Shroff
Actor Tiger Shroff says that besides dancing, he’d like to try his hand at other genres too, but that would only happen after a while.
Actor Tiger Shroff, who will soon start shooting for the sequel to Karan Johar’s hit film, Student of the Year (2012), says it’s a big responsibility to take the franchise forward.
“I love the first movie and all three of them (actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra) in it. It’s a tough act to follow and I hope I don’t let anyone down,” says the 26-year-old, who last starred in A Flying Jatt.

The leading lady of KJo’s project has not been finalised. Names doing the rounds include Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jhanvi and Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli. Tiger, too, says he has no clue about it.
Although Tiger is known for dance and action, the 26-year-old would like to try his hand at other genres too, but not anytime soon. “My fans expect a lot of out of me. This (dance and action) is why they have accepted me. This fascinates them. That being said, I’ll give all that I have in my next two films, a side to me that hasn’t been tapped as yet. After that I’ll experiment with other genres,” he says.

Meanwhile, the actor talks about working in a biopic on king of pop Michael Jackson. “I’d like to play him... the time when he was at his peak. I’d like to play him on-stage, off-stage and even recording in the studio. He was an all round entertainer. Every kid, in every country, knows about Michael Jackson. No one has reached that (kind of) fandom and stardom,” says Tiger.
And we can only agree.
