I never kissed Randeep, just pretended to: Richa Chadha

Richa Chadha says the ‘kiss’ with Randeep Hooda at the trailer launch of Main Aur Charles was only to give a sneak peek of the film.

The trailer launch of actor Richa Chadha’s upcoming film created a lot of buzz after the actor kissed her co-star Randeep Hooda on stage. However, Richa says that the two never kissed, but just pretended, as they wanted to give a sneak peak into the subject of the film.

“This was never the plan. I never kissed him on stage. It just looked like we were kissing. We were in our characters and it was just to show the audience a little bit of what the film is all about. We never thought that people would actually believe that we kissed. But I can’t say that I am surprised at their reaction,” she says.

The actor, who will next be seen in Pooja Bhatt’s production, has been juggling multiple projects for some time now, but she is not complaining. “You have to multitask. In Hollywood, actors do one film in a year, but here we have to juggle. I felt overwhelmed during the promotions of my last film — Masaan, but then I went along with it. You don’t realise it at the time, but later on you think about what all you had to do,” says Richa, who took a break after the film released.

“I went travelling abroad. I was happy to be in a place where no one knew me and where I could visit places, sit in cafes and do everything that I wanted to do,” she says, adding, “I am a workaholic and normally I never take time off. But, after Masaan, I realised that I just had to. To relax, I often meditate,” she says.
