“The film is a big responsibility on Dharma Production’s shoulders and mine. We are launching the career of three new faces through this film— Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. All of them are very promising and talented. So, we as a production house have to make sure that we stand up to the expectation of all,” said Karan.

He was in the capital to cheer for his designer friend Manish Malhotra , who presented his couture collection on Saturday at the Delhi Couture Week.

Alia is filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan’s daughter, Varun is director David Dahwan’s son and Siddharth is a model. SOTY will hit screens on October 19. The first trailer of SOTY was launched on August 2 and Karan says he has planned elaborate promotional activities. “We will start with the release of the first song online on Aug 24, followed by music launch,” he added. Karan has co-produced SOTY with actor Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
