Kriti Sanon is excited about doing action scenes in Raabta
Kriti Sanon talks about how she has always found action movies “exciting”; says she is training really hard for the movie.
In B-Town, action films have mostly been associated with actors such as John Abraham, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Of late, however, actresses, too, have been seen in such movies. Rani Mukerji played a cop in Mardaani (2014). This year, Shraddha Kapoor threw a few punches in Baaghi.

Now, Kriti Sanon is set to explore the genre for the first time in her next. She says, “I have always wanted to do action sequences. I find them exciting. But, they are also difficult and physically draining at times.”
Kriti says preparing for the scenes was difficult. “The biggest challenge was building my strength, which one can only do gradually. Weight training and Pilates helped me achieve that goal. I did mixed martial arts to get the right body language,” she says.

Kriti initially started training for two hours, three-four times a week. Gradually, she began working out for two hours every day. “This is something I’ve never done in my life. I’ve never been into sports, even as a kid. So, my body isn’t used to so much physical activity. It’s a lot of hard work,” she says.
