Lacking enough evidence, Shirish Kunder’s film is back online
Filmmaker Shirish Kunder’s film Kriti is back on YouTube.
Filmmaker Shirish Kunder’s short film Kriti is back on YouTube, after Nepalese filmmaker Aneel Neupane failed to provide enough evidence that the film was stolen from his film BOB’s plot. The film was pulled down from the internet three weeks back.
“This case has become a cause for concern for filmmakers all over the world as they need to understand that their work cannot only be easily copied by fraudsters, but evidence can also be easily manipulated if not handled properly.” Midday quoted Kunder’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee as saying.

Kunder wants to make the film in different formats. “Since the inception of the idea, we always thought of it as a full- fledged film. Today, after nearly three million people having watched it, the producers and I have decided to showcase more of Kriti to the audience through the format of a web series or a feature film,” he says.
