Let’s not speculate: Farah Khan on who will star in her next film

Khan, who has finished working on the script of her next film, says the casting process is yet to begin.

Over the past few months, rumours about the cast of Farah Khan’s next directorial venture have been rife. Ask the film-maker about this, and she says that nothing has been finalised as of now. “We have just locked the final draft of the script. Now, the other processes will start, including the casting. So, let’s not speculate,” she says.

Farah adds that, in all likelihood, the movie will go on the floors in the latter half of the year. “As Shirish (Kunder; husband and film-maker) said [in an interview], one of us has to be with the kids (they have three children) at any given point. So, we will plan our schedules accordingly,” she says.

Shirish is also making a comeback of sorts with a short movie, which will be followed by a full-length feature film.

For the time being, Farah is looking forward to a break with her triplets — eight-year-old Anya, Czar and Diva. “I am very happy that Shirish is returning to direction (with a short film that stars Manoj Bajpayee). He is a reticent man, but an extremely talented one. Now, Manoj, who is also our neighbour, will visit our house regularly (smiles),” says the film-maker.
