Mira Rajput’s ‘simple yet special’ plans for Shahid Kapoor’s birthday

When Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor announced his wedding with Delhi girl Mira Rajput (now Kapoor), the news left many surprised, as in spite of being a popular film star, he kept the ceremony a low-key affair. Now, on his first birthday (February 25) after marriage, the actor is going to have “a very quiet, cosy and simple” celebration.

When Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor announced his wedding with Delhi girl Mira Rajput (now Kapoor), the news left many surprised, as in spite of being a popular film star, he kept the ceremony a low-key affair. Now, on his first birthday (February 25) after marriage, the actor is going to have “a very quiet, cosy and simple” celebration.

An insider says, “Mira knows that Shahid loves to keep things unpretentious. So, she has planned something special yet simple for his birthday. Shahid is not the kind of person to throw a big bash on his birthday. So, keeping that in mind, Mira has organised a quiet affair at home.”

Although details of the celebration are being kept under wraps, we have come to know that the highlight of the day will be an intimate dinner with the “entire family and very close friends”. “Shahid and Mira’s parents will be part of the plan, apart from other family members, including his siblings,” adds the insider.

Shahid, who has been busy shooting for film-maker Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, has “surprisingly got a few free days” on and around his birthday. “It’s not an easy movie. So, it came as a surprise to Shahid when he realised that he has a few offs around his birthday,” adds the insider.

She made this year totally worth it. Happy new year you all. Make others happy this year. Keep it real and always make it count.

The actor is expected to resume shooting for Vishal’s film next week. We tried reaching them, but neither Shahid not Mira could be reached for a comment.
