The recent Imran Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is set for a screening at the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) that starts on June 16. It might even might lead to a theatrical release of the film in China and other neighboring countries.

Two other films — Dhobi Ghat (2010) and the documentary Bollywood: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told (2011) — will also be screened at the festival.

Amrita Pandey, an executive director at Disney UTV, says, “There is an increasing interest for Indian content in Asian markets like China, South Korea and Taiwan. SIFF is a perfect platform to showcase our movies. We released Delhi Belly (2011) in Hong Kong and saw an encouraging response.”

Understandably, Kareena Kapoor is thrilled with the news of her film going to Shanghai. “Good films are not limited by language or country,” she told us.
