Peepli [Live] to hit 700 screens

Aamir Khan's Peepli [Live] may not boast of a star studded cast but the film is certainly going to have a big release. The film, which hits theatres this Friday, will hit 600 screens in India and 100 screens overseas.

Aamir Khan's Peepli [Live] may not boast of a star studded cast but the film is certainly going to have a big release. The film, which hits theatres this Friday, will hit 600 screens in India and 100 screens overseas, Oneindia.com reported.



The film will release in UK on August 24.



Earlier producer Aamir Khan had revealed that they were planning to release it in 200 screens only. But after the thunderous response the film promos has created, they have now decided to go big.

The film has been directed by debutante director Anusha Rizvi and stars Omkar Das Manikpuri, Raghuveer Yadav, Malaika Shenoy, Farrukh Jaffer, Shalini Vatsa, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vishal O Sharma.

While the production cost of the film is said be be just under 10 crores, the film is has already earned 14 crores from satellite and music rights. The film is also touted to be one of the bigger grossers of 2010. Producer Aamir Khan is definitely going to make some money.
