Raanjhanaa scores at box office, earns over 5 crore in a day
After receiving rave reviews from critics, Dhanush's Bollywood debut Raanjhanaa has fared well at the box office too on the opening day. Earning Rs 5.15 crore in domestic markets, the film has made a good start.

Raanjhanaa scored well at the box office on the opening day. The Sonam Kapoor-Dhanush starrer film earned Rs 5.15 cr on Friday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Raanjhanaa Fri *actuals* 5.15 cr."
The movie has also averaged decently on overseas ticket windows. Anand L Rai of Tanu Weds Manu fame has collected $91 thousand (Rs 53 lakhs) on day one with his Raanjhanaa in US and Canada. The film also earned around Rs 16 lakh (UK £ 18,706) in the UK on the first day.
Raanjhanaa is Dhanush's debut in Bollywood. Other actors featuring in the film are Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar and Zeeshan Ayub.
