Rahul Dholakia signs new film

National Award-winning filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, best known for his film Parzania (2005), was in the news recently for signing a film with Shah Rukh Khan. Now the latest we’ve heard is that he will also direct an upcoming action film produced by Viki Rajani. The director will finalise the script by next month.

Now the latest we’ve heard is that he will also direct an upcoming action film produced by Viki Rajani. The director will finalise the script by next month.

Viki confirms the development, saying, “I’ve known Rahul for years. Although we wanted to work together for a long time, it was only a month ago that we locked the idea for this film. It will be a very big project for us.” The producer has plans to cast top stars of Bollywood as the film’s leads. “We will be approaching A-listers from the industry. But since we are still working on the script, it will take us a month to finalise everything,” adds Viki.

Ask him if Rahul will start his film before working on SRK’s project and he says, “He has committed to Shah Rukh’s film first, so we will shoot as per his (Rahul’s) availability. If he starts that movie first, we’ll begin our project in the second half of the year.”
