The first look of upcoming film Raid, starring Ajay Devgn, was unveiled on Tuesday.

Sharing the picture, Ajay tweeted: “Meet Amay Patnaik - Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Lucknow. #RaidTrailer out at 11.30 AM. Stay tuned!”

In the poster, Ajay is sitting on a trunk with cash stuffed gunny bags around him. There are also boxes, lots of files and what looked liked heaps of gold bars. The trunk and gunny bags have seals , a mark of government, on them. It looks like a scene from the film where seized wealth and papers are on display.

In the background an archway and minarets can been seen. Ajay wears a no-nonsense look , in keeping with the tagline: Heroes don’t always come in uniform.

The film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla. It will release on March 16, 2018.

Sharing the picture, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted : “Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla... First look poster of #Raid... Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak... Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta... 16 March 2018 release.”

Ajay Devgn seems to have taken to going after money, looted or otherwise. If in Baadshaho, he led a gang to get back an erstwhile queen’s wealth (gold) seized by the government after emergency in 1975, in Raid , he seems to be going after those hoarding wealth.

The trailer is expected to be out by 11.30 am today.
