Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety director has performed a casting coup and secured the talents of Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn for his new film, due to release in 2019. See a picture of their meeting here.

Director Luv Ranjan is riding high on the success of his latest film, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of arguably his most anticipated film, the Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju. Ajay Devgn, meanwhile, delivered a rousing hit with his social drama, Raid. And now, the three of them have come together for a new project, scheduled for release in 2019.

Photographer Manav Manglani shared a picture of their meeting on his Instagram account on Tuesday. In the picture, the trio can be seen deep in discussion. Ranbir and Ajay are wearing sunglasses and are smiling at whatever Ranjan, who previously directed the two Pyaar Ka Punchnama movies, has to say.T Series and Luv have collaborated for the film, after their successful venture - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

The trio spoke to Times of India about the film. Ajay said, “Ranbir is an impeccable actor with a great ability to deliver nuanced performances. He is undeniably the most talented actor of his generation. I am looking forward to collaborating with him.”

Ranbir reciprocated the feelings and said, “I have immense respect for Ajay sir and I’m excited about sharing the screen with him again. His body of work is inspiring. Luv and I have wanted to work with each other for some time now. I am sure this film will be a perfect start to our association.”

Ranbir has two major projects on the docket after the release of Sanju. He will star opposite Alia Bhatt in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, and will play a dacoit in Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera, opposite Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
