For Ranbir Kapoor, his next release, Besharam, is special because it will be the first time that he will come together with his parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, on the big screen.
And actor Pallavi Sharda, who is just a film old and will be making her debut as a leading lady with this project, too couldn’t have asked for a more special movie. We’ve been informed that both Ranbir and Pallavi have taken inspiration from Rishi and Neetu for a qawwali track in their film. An industry insider reveals, "The song will see them recreating the magic that Rishi and Neetu had built in the song, ‘Parda hai parda’ (from Amar Akbar Anthony; 1977). In one of the dance numbers in Besharam, Ranbir and Pallavi were supposed to enact the moves of traditional qawwals. The makers wanted it to look slightly old school to retain the charm of those moves. The choreography has been done in such a way that it looks like it has taken inspiration from Kapoor senior’s qawwali." In the old track, Rishi was shown wooing Neetu, who is wearing a veil, and also taunting her strict father, who was opposed to their romance. "Though Neetu ji was in the audience in that song, Pallavi will be shown dancing in this one," adds the source. The insider adds, "‘Parda hai parda’ continues to be one of the most famous qawwalis. It was a proud moment for Ranbir, and also for Pallavi, since she got the opportunity to not only act with the legendary couple in the film, but also revisit their famous song."
