The latest actor to be working on his next film’s promotion plans is Ranbir Kapoor. A source reveals that he has been involved in every stage of the marketing plans for Anurag Basu’s film, Barfi!.“His presence is integral to the film’s promotional plan. He’s going the extra mile to connect with his audience,” the source says.

Producers UTV Motion Pictures chalked out promo visits to eight venues within the UK and Dubai, which Ranbir is to cover in three days. The promotions have already kicked off in London.The actor is managing all this in spite of simultaneously shooting for director Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani in Paris with ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone.

About the first leg of the promotions in London, Ranbir says, “It is extremely heartening to see so many fans come out in great numbers to support us. I am amazed to see that there are so many in the UK. I wish I could reach out to more people in other places.”

Amrita Pandey, executive director of syndication, international distribution and media distribution, studios, Disney-UTV, says, “We have just kicked off the international promotions for Barfi!. Thousands of fans flocked to a UK cinema last evening to catch a glimpse of Ranbir. Press conferences and interviews are important (to promote a film), but there is nothing that draws fans more than a chance to meet and speak to their favourite actor. Ranbir has been involved in planning the overseas plans as well. Priyanka (Chopra) has also just joined us in London.”
