After winning more than 10 awards for various comic characters, actor Tusshar Kapoor now wants to be known as a lover boy on screen, more so after playing a ‘romantic’ hero in S Manasvi’s film, Love You Mr Kalakar, co-starring Amrita Rao.

“I’d rather be known as a prem-pujari than a comedian on screen. I’m already playing a cartoonist who falls in love with a management trainee in Manasvi’s film, which is an emotional love story, and I’m loving it,” he says.
Kapoor flagged off his career with the romantic film, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, and then got stuck with comic roles in Good Boy Bad Boy, Dhol, One Two Three, Life Partner and the Golmaal series. The actor has two more comedies coming up year: Golmaal 3 and Run Bhola Run.
Does he fear getting typecast? “Govinda told me that if you want to create a brand name for yourself, it’s important to be the best in one genre. Sometimes, to become a star, you need to make people happy with that one thing that they associate you with,” he reasons. “I will never quit comedy,”says Tusshar.
