Salman Khan may well be seen playing Lord Krishna in Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Oh My God.
Interestingly, the other contender for this role was none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Akshay had also approached SRK, which led to rumours of a possible clash of the titans.
But now it seems that Salman has not only agreed but is also rather keen to do the role.
He will reportedly join Akshay after he finishes shooting for the sequel to his blockbuster Dabangg.
Director Ashvini Yardi is, in fact, adapting the role to suit Salman Khan.
The film is an adaptation of actor Paresh Rawal’s play, Krishna vs Kanhaiya.
It is about an atheist (played by Akshay Kumar), who suffers losses due to an earthquake and files a case against God asking him to compensate him for the loss.
