Sanjay Leela Bhansali to launch Poonam Dhillon’s son Anmol Thakeria

Anmol Thakeria will be playing the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film.

Another star-kid is set to debut in Bollywood. The son of Bollywood actor Poonam Dhillon and producer Ashok Thakeria, Anmol, is going to be launched by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Earlier, Shahid Kapoor was supposed to be the lead actor of the project, but it went to Anmol once Shahid turned down the offer.

Poonam Dhillon started her acting career with Trishul.

Poonam confirmed the news in a conversation with Pinkvilla. She said, “I am of course very excited about it because it’s something he was working towards. Yes, as a mom, I am very happy.”

She further said, “I think it’s one of the best debut that he could have asked for. He is very happy and chilled about. I would say that he got this on his merit as I had no say or connection in it. Our whole focus is on his Bollywood debut right now and we both are very excited about it.”

Poonam is currently working in TV projects and occasional films. She was last seen in 2014 film Double Di Trouble. She is currently seen in a TV show titled Dil Hi Toh hai.

Poonam and Ashok married in 1988 but they got separated in 1997. Ashok has produced films like Dil, Beta, Raja, Masti and Dhamaal. His next production venture is Total Dhamaal.
