Siddharth Mallya to try his hand at acting

He has been in the news for his alleged relationships, a domestic T20 cricket team and a possible career in movies (a couple of years ago, he told HT Café that “opportunities (from Bollywood) have come my way”, but he hasn’t given them any consideration). It’s believed that at a recent meeting with a Hollywood bigwig in Los Angeles, Siddharth was encouraged by the honcho to participate on a talent-spotting platform – Talent Showcase, helmed by a popular TV channel.

“Sid gave it a thought and sent his entry in. He went through gruelling rounds and different stages of auditions and got selected in the top 20,” says an insider. In the past, he has been involved in an online show, No Boundaries, besides hosting a calendar-girl hunt show. Siddharth couldn’t be reached for a comment.
