Special committee clears Aarakshan

Censor Board Committee clears Aarakshan U/A certificate.

The special Censor Board Committee which was formed to review filmmaker Prakash Jha's controversial film Aarakshan has cleared the film with a U/A certificate. Besides the board's chief, the committee also had Dalit activists on the panel, in light of concern that the film may be offensive to scheduled castes given that it deals with reservation issue. The film stars actors Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone and will release on August 12.
