It’s been more than two months that Sridevi passed away but the buzz around the legendary actor refuses to die down. Now an old video where Sridevi is making fun of her then teenaged daughter’s attempts at speaking in Hindi, surfaced suddenly from nowhere and has since gone viral.

Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently preparing for the release of her first film Dhadak, is seen struggling to speak in Hindi, when questioned by the press. At an event, where Sridevi is also present, Janhvi is asked a question. We don’t get to hear the question in the video but from her reply, one can guess it is about her acting debut in Bollywood. When asked to reply in Hindi, Janhvi replies in a highly accented tone: “Mujhe pata nahin hai, main abhi school mein padhai kar rahi hoon.”

At which point, Sridevi joins the conversation and says how nobody should ask her daughter to speak in Hindi and how she keeps bullying Janhvi at home and then goes on to imitate her daughter. Everybody, including Janhvi, bursts out laughing.

Janhvi’s first film, Dhadak, is set to hit the silver screen on July 20, 2018. The film, which also stars Shahid Kapoor’s kid brother Ishaan Khatter, has been directed by Shashank Khaitan, best known for his films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Dhadak is the official Hindi remake of surprise Marathi hit Sairat.
