There is something genuine about Alia: Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor Khan praises Bhatt; adds that, after 15 years in Bollywood, she’s in a “secure place”

While Alia Bhatt has gone on record to call herself a fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan, the latter, too, feels that the young actor has the potential to make it big in Bollywood.

"I think is supremely talented, and is a lovely girl. I have only seen her work in Student Of The Year (2012), but I still like her. Her vibe is nice, she’s relaxed. When you meet her, you can tell that there is something genuine about Alia," says Kareena.

Waiting for the release of her next, , Kareena says that having spent 15 years in the industry, she’s no longer part of the rat race. "I’m in a secure and happy place. I can do a song with Sidharth Malhotra, at the same time I’ve played Anil Kapoor’s wife a decade ago (in Bewafaa; 2005) and now I’m playing his nephew’s () wife (in a film being directed by R Balki). It’s amazing," says the 34-year-old.



Looking back, Kareena says that she always knew that acting was her first love. But would she ever be something else if not an actor? "Since I love travel so much, I would’ve been an air hostess. Considering I’m always ready to get on an aircraft and leave, that would be ideal, because I’d get to see new and exciting places," says Kareena.



Ask the actor why she is off social media and she’s quick to say that she’s never wanted to be on it in the first place. "I was never on it to be off it. But I have fans on social media who keep me alive. But, I don’t feel the need to be on it. And between my work and Saif (Ali Khan; husband) and my travelling, I have my hands full," says Kareena.
