Varun Dhawan donates Rs 5 lakh for treatment of dancer injured while performing front double flip
Actor Varun Dhawan donated Rs 5 lakh to a dancer who injured himself while performing a front double flip. The actor will be seen as a dancer in his next film, Street Dancer.
Actor Varun Dhawan is currently shooting for his upcoming film, Street Dancer, in which he will be playing a dancer alongside actor Shraddha Kapoor. The actor who has been working hard on his dance skills recently came forward to help a dancer who was injured while performing a dangerous dance step.
According to a post by an Instagram handle To The Culture, Varun approached the man and donated Rs 5 lakh for his treatment. The post reads, “REAL HERO @varundvn Thank you for taking care of everything. This kid broke his neck few days back while he was practicing double front flip...He got injured and was in serious need of financial support.. everyone from community started showing support and then then the real hero saw the story on @kartik_veterans feed and the rest you can see in DM screenshot. would like to thank Varun Dhavan for everything he did...we need more hero’s like you.. thank you everyone who supported #respect #dilse. Varun’s next film, Street Dancer is being directed by Remo D’souza. It will also star Prabhu Dheva and will hit theatres around Diwali on November 8 this year. He will also reprise Govinda’s role in the remake of his father’s film, Coolie No. 1.
Varun’s last film, Kalank turned out to be the first commercial disappointment of his career. It also starred Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit.
On the personal front, Varun is dating fashion designer Natasha Dalal. Talking about her on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan, the actor said, “I’m with her because she has her own individuality, she has her own voice which is super strong with things she wants to do and things she wants to achieve in life. And, as her partner, that is something I want to support. And, she has been so supportive where my career is concerned, always, from day one actually.”
