The song was originally the part of film Sadma. The number, which is touted to be as the boldest-ever performance by Silk Smitha, seduces Kamal Haasan in the song.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Milan Luthria did away with the song and kept Vidya's provocative arousal sounds on the soundtrack to make it more effective. He may decide to add a song to the sequence later."

Tusshar Kapoor informed the tabloid, "We shot the seduction scene last week. Vidya had to win my character over using nothing but seduction. It was definitely my boldest sequence to date."
