Recently, when the was launched, everybody took to social networking sites to praise its hilarious content. The first song of the film, Journey Song, was also released, which has close to two lakh views in just four days. But what’s surprising is that neither the trailer nor the new song shows any glimpse of Bengali actor who is rumoured to play the romantic lead opposite Deepika.
However, the trailer of the film did show another Bengali actress Moushumi Chatterjee, who is reportedly playing Bachchan’s sister-in-law in the film. Piku was extensively shot in Kolkata.
When we recently caught up with the Madras Café director at a Kolkata event, he, however remained tight-lipped about his Piku, which releases on May 8. "I am not ready to spill the beans about Piku," smiled the director. On being prodded further about Jisshu’s role in the film, Sircar didn’t reveal anything but urged everyone to watch the film to find out what ‘interesting’ role he portrays. "You have to wait for the film to release. That will answer all your queries. If I reveal anything now, you will lose interest," he winked.
