Ileana and Akshay plays husband wife in Rustom.

Rustom is the story of Naval Officer KM Nanavati, who murdered his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja and subsequently turned himself in. Directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai and written by Vipul K Rawal, Rustom will hit the theatres on August 12.

In the film, Akshay plays Rustom Pavri, who killed his wife’s lover and Ileana D’Cruz stars as Akshay’s wife. The lover who is murdered has been named Vikram Makhija in the film.

As the sensational case unfolds in the rather long trailer, we discover that there’s much more to this saga: Treason and blackmail are just some of the possible plots the three-minute-long video left us with.

The trailer is also likely to be tagged along with Salman Khan’s Sultan, that is slated to release on June 6.
