When Ali Fazal flew with his football team from Shillong to Goa

Actor Ali Fazal who mentors a football club from Shillong, flew the young kids to Goa, where he is currently shooting.

Actor Ali Fazal is very passionate about football and even mentors a team of children from Shillong as their brand ambassador. So, when his schedule demanded him to shoot in Goa for his film, he decided to bring the team to Goa for better training.

Actor Ali Fazal decided to bring kids from Shillong to Goa to train them better.

“I took the initiative and managed to fly down some of the kids from Shillong football club down to Goa to train with me. With the beaches and open space, Goa is a nice place to get them away from their comfort zone and weather. The players sweat more in the humidity and drills on the beach is effective in core strengthening,” says Fazal, who is shooting in Goa for Prakash Raj’s directorial.

However, he feels bad for the children for he makes them go through rigorous training. “I wake all the kids up at 4 am and we start training by 5 am for about an hour and half. And then I leave for my shoot. I feel sometimes it is a little too much for them but they also know it is for their good,” he adds.

But it is not always only hard work. It is also a lot of fun. “When I have an off, we try to make the best out of the day. One of the days, we will go on one of the cruises in Panjim. I feel pretty much at home here now and will ensure that they also have a good experience,” he says.
