The Chautha ceremony of the legendary director Yash Chopra who passed away on October 21 will be held today at Yash Raj studios. The ceremony will be held between 6pm to 7pm.
The veteran director died of multi-organ failure on Sunday, a week after he was admitted to the Lilavati hospital with dengue. The funeral took place a day after in Mumbai.
Chopra, who celebrated his 80th birthday on September 27, changed the face of romance in Hindi cinema to become a brand in Bollywood, with hits such as Kabhie Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni and Dil to Pagal Hai in his five-decade long illustrious career.

Born on September 27, 1932 in Lahore, Chopra also thrilled fans with action dramas such a Trishul and Deewar, which established Amitabh Bachchan as the “angry young man”.
Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan — scheduled for Diwali release — would be his last film as a director.
Wife Pamela and sons Aditya and Uday survive Chopra. Aditya is a successful director. Uday tried his hand at films but failed to make a mark.
