ZNMD 2 on hold: Zoya Akhtar

Director Zoya akhtar is happy with the appreciation coming from all quarters for her film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD), but she insists that a sequel to the film is not happening immediately.

Director Zoya Akhtar is happy with the appreciation coming from all quarters for her film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD), but she insists that a sequel to the film is not happening immediately.

“As of now, we don’t have any plans to do a sequel to ZNMD. I don’t think it would be correct to do it right now. We will give it a couple of years and catch the characters when five years have passed,” says zoya.

It was earlier reported that both zoya and her brother farhan akhtar are thinking of making a sequel to the film, but the director has put all those rumours to rest for a while. But she is definitely thinking of directing another film. “I am doing a short film and then I would start writing for my next film,” says zoya. ZNMD starred actors Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin.
