Launched by Bollywood singer and music director Shankar Mahadevan in Mumbai, Dictionary of English: The Udder Side by PV Subramaniam is a collection of redefined words and strives to bring about the fun side of interpreting the language.
“I am very happy with the encouraging response that I have received for the book. I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it,” Subramaniam said during the launch.
The book has been published by Fingerprint! Publications and illustrated by Mark Wood, a British cartoonist.
"Playing with words is like combining different notes in music. I think this will be the first dictionary that people will read linearly from beginning to the end,” Mahadevan said praising the efforts of Subramaniam.
The launch, sponsored by Kotak in Mumbai, was attended by singer Sona Mahapatra and music composer Ram Sampat.
