The cover of all the seven books in the Harry Potter series, written by British author J K Rowling, will appear on first class stamps that will be launched by the Royal Mail.

The stamps, which will be released on July 17, will also include the cover of the final book Harry Potter and Deathly Hollows cover, four days before the book hits the stores.

The crests of the four Hogwarts school houses will also feature on the stamps.

Julietta Edgar of the Royal Mail said that the impact of Potter series has been phenomenal.

“Harry Potter has made a phenomenal impact,” the Sun quoted Edgar, as saying.

Royal Mail had issued special stamps to celebrate the work of J R R Tolkien, T S Eliot, Beatrix Potter, C S Lewis, Roald Dahl and Lewis Carroll.
