HT-Nielsen Top 10 list: Harry Potter and 13 Reasons Why in children’s favourite

It will come as a surprise to none that book two of Amish Tripathi’s bestselling Ram Chandra series, Sita – Warrior of Mithila, continues to dominate the top ten list for fiction for the third week since it’s release. Close on its heels, is Arundhati Roy’s much-anticipated second novel that has received mixed reviews since its release.

Popular romance writer Durjoy Datta is at the third spot, followed by Savi Sharma (This is Not Your Story) and Amish (Scion of Ikshvaku) again.

In the nonfiction category, Dr Joseph Murphy’s The Power of Your Subconscious Mind has risen to the top, followed by last week’s no 1 book Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.

The usual suspects make the top ten for children’s books: with JK Rowling, Jay Asher, Rick Riordan and Jeff Kinney staying put in the list of children’s books by international publishers. Ruskin Bond continues to be king in the category of books by Indian publishers.
