Established in 1963, the bi-annual Jerusalem Prize has in the last ten years been awarded to Ian McEwan, Haruki Murakami, philosopher Leszek Kolakowski, Antonio Antunes (who won the €100,000 Camoes Prize two years later) and Arthur Miller.
