Pressmart, Singapore publishers institute magazine awards

Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore (MPAS) has launched Singapore magazine awards to recognise the best magazine publishers in that country.

Magazine Publishers Association of Singapore (MPAS) with support from city-based digital publisher Pressmart has launched Singapore magazine awards to recognise the best magazine publishers in that country.

Awards will recognise publishers for the best magazine front cover design, front cover/feature story in consumer, trade and contract categories and the best visual series in photography, said a statement by Pressmart here Friday .

Special awards will also be presented to the best magazine of the year 2009, Chinese magazine, new magazine and online magazine in consumer and trade categories.

The MPAS-Pressmart award night will be held March 24 at Suntec City in Singapore.

"We are delighted to sponsor the first of its kind awards for magazine publishers in Singapore," said Sanjiv Gupta, founder and executive chairman of Pressmart.
