1. All Dogs Go To Heaven (1989)

An animated musical fantasy film about a dog that returns from heaven for his best friend, this film is all about kindness, love and friendship and teaches so much about the goodness of the heart.

2. Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993)

This film is a remake of the 1963 Walt Disney film An Incredible Journey. It’s about three pets who set out from a ranch to find their owners in San Francisco. It shows the true loyal nature of dogs and it really makes you wonder about the bond pets have with each other, and more importantly, with us.

3. Lassie (1994)

A family of four comes to a new city to start a new life, and its lost and lonely son finds a homeless collie who becomes a part of the family. He eases them into the transition with his loyalty. You can’t help but love Lassie!

4. Old Yeller (1957)

This film is based upon a Newbery-winning book of the same name by Fred Gipson. It’s about a boy and a stray dog on post Civil-War Texas. It’s kind of a sad movie but it shows how owning a dog isn’t always easy. The film encompasses all parts of dog ownership, and life in general.

5. Turner & Hooch (1989)

This Tom Hanks starrer is a comedy film about a detective having to adopt a murdered man’s dog to solve the case of his murder. An adventurous journey of two cop friends, this one surely turns anti-dog people to dog lovers!
