"The youth leaders in our country should dress more casually. I think it is time they start wearing jeans and T-shirts instead of the regular kurta and payjama," Chitrangada said.

The 37-year-old dusky beauty listed Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah and corporate affairs minister Sachin Pilot as the most stylish politicians.

"I think they both are always well-dressed," said Chitrangada, who was in the capital for the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour.

The 'Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi' actress wore a red and black one shoulder ball gown as she walked the ramp for designer JJ Valaya, who showcased his Spain-inspired collection.

Titled 'Maharaj of Madrid', the line was a medley of Spanish beauty and Indian sensibilities.

"This line is a story of an Indian Maharaja who goes to Spain and the little things he picks up from his journey," Valaya said.

The colour palette ranged from peach, red, orange and black. The silhouettes were mainly sarees teamed with jackets, floor length anarkalis, sherwanis, kurtas and churidaars.
